Henry William Allemang, son of Jacob and Elizabeth Rinker Allemong, was born 27-Jun-1786 in old Frederick County, Virginia. In their later years, William and Charity came to Champaign County, Illinois. He died 2-Mar-1862 at the age of 75 years, 8 months, 5 days in Champaign County, Illinois. He was buried in the Mt. Shiloh Methodist Cemetery. William was married to Charity Lewis in Frederick County, Virginia on 12-Apr-1808. She was born in 1783, the daughter of Capt. John Lewis and granddaughter of the famous General Andrew Lewis of French Indian Wars and Revolutionary War fame. ------------------------- John Allemong deed of Virginia land to his brother, William Allemang, 1831 This indenture made 30th day of December in the year of 1830 between John Allemong of the county of Ross in the state of Ohio, of the one part, and William Allemong of the county of Frederick, state of Virginia of the other part. That the said John Allemong for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred dollars current money of United States to him have paid by the William Allemong at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt which is hereby acknowledged, hath granted, bargained, alien, released and confirmed and by these presents, doth grant, sell, assign and confirmed unto the said William Allemong his heirs and assings, a certain tract of parcel of land being known and described in and by a survey made by William Gore as lot 5 from south bring part of a tract that Jacob Allemong, deceased late of Frederick County, lying on Timber Ridge in the county of Frederick adjoining the lands of Abner Clark, William Bagent, John Heironimous and others and division-thereof having been made by the heirs and legal representatives of the said Jacob Allemong deceased and the lot above being affixed, the said John Allemong which said lot is bounded on the south by lot 4 now in the possession of the said William Allemong containing fifty acres more or less, also all the claim to any lands that may fall to him after the death of his mother, Elizabeth Allemong together with all and rights in improvements, instruments and appertances, whatsoever there unto belonging and the reversions and remainders, rents, and profits thereof. To have and to hold all and singular the premises, with the appertances is hereby granted unto the said William Allemong, his heirs and assings to the only proper use and behalf of the said William Allemong forever. The said John Allemong hereby covenants for himself and his heirs that he is eseized of good and undefeasible estate of the lots in this premises, and that he had good right to convey the same to the said William Allemong in manner forever. And lastly, that the said John Allemong hereby covenants himself and his heirs all and singular the premises hereby granted of their appertances unto the said William Allemong his heirs and assigns against the said John Allemong, his heirs, and all and any other person, shall forever warrant and forever defend by these presents. In witness wherefore the said John Allemong hath set his hand and seal the day of the year written above.
