Husband: Johnson Dearth ALLAMAN |
Born: 15 AUG 1850 in New Salem, PA Notes: He belonged to Modern Woodmen of America for over fifty years. He was named Johnson for his maternal grandfather, Johnson Frey (M. Hester Pierce) and for his great maternal grandmother, Hestor Johnson, wife of abraham Frye, Jr. The Dearth came from Maxwell Dearth, the first undertaker of New Salem, personal friend of his father. On the death of his parents, J. D. Allaman came by train as far as Peoria, IL from whence he walked to Buckheart Twp, Fulton County, IL. He worked on a farm 2 1/2 years for John Brown, brother to his brother-in-law, Samuel Brown. He then moved to Canton where he met his beloved. --D.B. Allaman |

The child fell to the floor. When her father picked her up, she was dead.
