Mrs Laura Motsinger worried so about him, it being two a.m., she sent her sons looking for their father and they discovered him unconscious and in a dying condition. He was taken to Graham hospital, Canton Ill. where he remained several days and then was cared for by his wife until his death. He was the first policeman and fireman in Canton Ill. Member of First Christian church and Bible teacher for the men’s class for several years. He served as 2nd Lt. Co M Ill. Engineers Spanish American War. He and wife are buried in Greewoood cemetery in family row with other family memers.
