Born: 02 OCT 1866 in Canton, Fulton Co., IL Notes: Andrew Motsinger died 22-0ct-1932 from being beaten and robbed by thugs as he was sitting in a car in an alley waiting for his friend to come and pick him up and drive home. Mrs Laura Motsinger worried so about him, it being two a.m., she sent her sons looking for their father and they discovered him unconscious and in a dying condition. He was taken to Graham hospital, Canton Ill. where he remained several days and then was cared for by his wife until his death. He was the first policeman and fireman in Canton Ill. Member of First Christian church and Bible teacher for the men’s class for several years. He served as 2nd Lt. Co M Ill. Engineers Spanish American War. He and wife are buried in Greewoood cemetery in family row with other family memers. |

Born: 20 MAR 1869 in Litchfield, IL Notes: Laura C. Knight was born in Litchfield Ill. Montgomery county and died in Canton, Fulton county. Her father was Joseph Knight who was born in Belleville, Ill. St. Clair county in 1846 and died in Canton Fulton co.1916 |
