Husband: Aaron MOTSINGER |
Born: 12 FEB 1820 Notes: Aaron Motsinger married Anna Britt in Fulton county, Ill. 29 Sept-1850. He was on 1850 census being in Waterford Twp. In the family letters he was in Iowa trying to collect monies due his sister, Mrs Selah Garren and in obituary of his brother, Richard R. Motsinger Feb-2-1902 he was listed as living Nebraska. The compiler (D.B. Allaman) has repeadly tried without sucess to find the whereabouts of the burial place of Aaron and Anna. I was told by my father, Jesse L. Allaman (1883-1955) and by my great aunt, Mrs Edith Mabel Motsinger Wood (1882-1979) that when my great grandfather went to Nebraska to try for homestead land of 1500 acres that Aaron Motsinger owned a large French type built home and he took them to the top veranda and stated "anywhere you can see and beyond is my land. He also owned several head of cattle as father stated he could not see the end of his uncle's beef herd when grazing. It seems that after the Nebraska Historical Society and Nebraska State Genealogical Society, each not being able to find him on Land records. Yet family records state he was located near Francis, Cheynne, Nebraska. This is all that is known of Aaron and Anna Britt Motsinger. |
