By 1768, Felix had taken his four children to NC where in 1768 he bought 360 acres of Joshua & Dorothy Teague, located both sides drains of Abets Creek. In 1790 2nd married Elizabeth, the widow of John Long (Rev. Slodier). Elizabeth had a daughter, Susanna who had married John Motsinger, son of Felix, Sr. and it was the son who was his bondsman at marriage. Felix Sr. died in summer of 1791 and in the fall of 1791, Felix Jackson Motsinger Jr. was born. This was the only child she ever had by Felix, Sr. Her sons, Rev. Frederick Long, Methodist Episcopal Minister, and Jacob Long went to Clermont County Ohio. Grandma Elizabeth couldn't stand the loneliness of loss both sons. So 1800 she gave land, etc. back to my Motsinger family. They provided grandma with two horses and gave her money. She took her household effects and with her son Felix Jr, went to Clermont Co., Ohio on two horses. Felix J. Motsinger Jr stated in his Bible "My mother is buried on the Guineel Pike.: Felix Sr. indeed had a daughter, Elizabeth, born 1750's in PA. She married Christian Hamm, [unreadible] Soldier of NC. The Elizabeth Motsinger born 1790 NC was the daughter of my third great grandparents, Jacob, born PA c. 1752/53 m. Hannah Braun born about 1760. According to my grt grt grandfather's records, his father died Washington Co., Ind about 1852 and he told his granddaughter, my own grandma, his mother died the year he prepared to come to Illinois (1835). No stones mark their graves, thusly only family tradition. I tried to prove Jacob's Rev Soldier to the tune of $96 and lot of research but to no avail. All his sons and daughters stated he served. The Motsinger family owned large acreage NC so no application was ever made by service record. Also in Washington Co, Ind they became quite wealthy by hard labor and diligence as also did the maternal line of Gilstrap family. Please change your records to Elizabeth Motsinger, born 1790 Rowan Co., NC, daughter of Jacon and Hannah Motsinger. She married Johann Lagenour, 25 Sept 1808, Friedland NC. To NC 1776. Rev. War Service. Son Felix, the child in being in Felix's will, born 1791, to Clermont Ohio with mother, Elizabeth. 3) Another descendant found record of Jakob and Johann Matzinger's entry to Penn, where they remained for some years before going on into NC. [this has to be a descendant of Felix, but I don't show who he belongs to. Felix Motsinger is the ancestor who assisted in establishing American Independence, while acting in the capacity of Furnishing supplies to the militia, South Carolina, Virginia and North Carolina. Mary Kramer "So far as we know, Felix is the ancestor of all the North Carolina Motsingers. He was baptized at Marthalen in 1727, immigrated with his parents in 1735, and appears on Pennsylvania tax lists in 1762 and 1763 in Heidelberg township, Northampton County. The birthdates of his children suggest that he married probably in the late 1750s in Pennsylvania, but we don't know the name of his first wife. In 1765 he moved to Rowan County NC and purchased land in the Abbotts Creek area (present-day Davidson county). He served with Francis Marion in South Carolina during the Revolution. In 1790 he married Elizabeth, widow of John Long. He died in Rowan County NC on 8 Aug 1791.
