He arrived in Philadelphia 20 Oct. 1747 with two brothers Johann Peter and Abraham JOHAN HENRY2 FRANTZ (PETER1) was born Abt. 1726 in Schalbach area, Alsace, and died 1764. He married MARIA SUSANNA BALLIET July 21, 1742, daughter of STEPHEN BALLIET and MARIA SCHWEITZER. She was born Abt. 1712 in Schalbach area, Alsace, and died Bef. 1747 in Schalbach area, Alsace. Notes for JOHAN HENRY FRANTZ: Henry's birth date is unknown. Pierre Balliet lists him as the third child of Peter and Maria Anna (Hahn). He came to America with Abraham and Peter. He got a warrant for land on 14 Nov 1758. He paid taxes in Heidelberg Township in 1762. He was killed by Indians in 1764. His daughter, Margaret, was abducted by Indians in 1757, and held captive until 1764. Henry married Susanna Balliet on 21 Jul 1742, according to Pierre Balliet. At that time he was just about 30 years old. Henry died on 14 Nov 1764, and was buried at the Union Church in Neffs in Heidelberg Township, Northampton (now in Lehigh) County. Susanna's death date is not known. (The Frantz family had arrived from Lorraine on the 20th of October, 1747, and settled in Heidelberg Township.) In September 1757, the Indians attacked the Frantz cabin and seized the daughters of Henry Frantz. Henry Frantz was later killed by the Indians in 1764 on his farm in Heidelberg Township. The Tax Report for Henry Frantz in 1764, states: "Killed by Indians". The court appointed, ABRAHAM FRANTZ, as guardians of Henry's children. Their children were: 1. Margaret, 8 Mar 1745-29 Jun 1823, m. Nicholas Vautrin, Apr 1775-?. Margaret died in Whitehall Township. 2. Peter, 4 May 1752-26 May 1832, m. Catharine Buchman, 4 May 1752-23 May 1832. Peter is buried in Old Allentown Cemetery. Catharine is buried in Old Union Cemetery in Allentown. 3. Barbara, 1756-?. She is buried in Old Allentown Cemetery. 4. John Jacob was born on 3 Aug 1757 and baptized on 20 Aug 1757, according to the records of Egypt Reformed Church.
